My county in Illinois wants us to stop renting

Were a few miles out of town and ran 2 country Airbnbs. The local zoning board is trying their best to shut us down. Makes no sense at all. They’ve come up with a few reasons but none that are actual ordinances written with airbnbs in mind.  local attorneys are caught up in a “good ole boy” situation and don't want to piss off the long standing director.

Not sure what we’ll do!

Desperate to stay in business

@David7097 Sorry to hear you're running into some issues with the county! Have you found a way forward since you posted here?

It might be worth checking if there is a local Host Club near you, as other Hosts in your area might have some first-hand advice on dealing with similar situations for you. 🙂

Thank you,

Not any hosts in our area, “midwest illinois” doing what we do on a farm. Most rent a room in their home, where as we rent a couple cabins on our farm. Were zoned agriculture so hopefully the county will rethink and leave us alone.
