STRA Fire Safety standard in NSW

STRA Fire Safety standard in NSW

We are wanting to start hosting in NSW and have four bedrooms to rent.  Two years ago we had smoke alarms hardwired to the entire house.  They are in the hallways and bedrooms.  They are interconnected and have battery backup.  They were certified by the electrician and tested as all working correctly.

As these were fitted before 1 May 2022 are these deemed to comply with the requirements for STRA?  We will also be providing the necessary Evacuation Diagram.   Is this sufficient to meet the needs of STRA compliance??

Hi @Carol803 ! It's been a while since you posted. Did you receive any good advice yet regarding your question?

As it's specific to New South Wales regulation, it might be worth asking your question in one of the local Host Clubs as well. You can find them here: https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Get-Local/ct-p/en_clubs

I hope that helps! 😃
