New listing query

Hello!

I listed my property on Airbnb about a month ago, but at the time, I didn’t have the final photos since the house was still under renovation. Now that it’s fully ready and I’ve uploaded the new pictures, I’ve noticed that bookings have slowed down. I actually received more enquiries earlier when I had just listed the location and shared some renovation pictures. I’ve even reduced the price, but I’m not sure if that was the right move. What should I do?

@Nusrat14 What you’re experiencing is actually quite common. When a listing first goes live, Airbnb gives it a temporary visibility boost, which often explains the early surge in enquiries. Once that boost ends, your listing competes normally based on factors like reviews, conversion rate, and response time. New, polished photos can also subtly shift guest perception — while they look professional, they sometimes reduce clicks compared with the “authentic” renovation photos you initially had. To improve bookings, focus on a bright, inviting cover photo, refresh your title and description to emphasize the experience and location, highlight the recent renovation in your description, and use strategic pricing or short-term discounts rather than just lowering your base price. These steps help regain visibility and attract the right guests.

Hello @Nusrat14 ! the condo looks super inviting! my one recommendation would be to retake the pictures during the daytime so guests can see what the view is. As a guest myself, I love to know what the close to and around the property.  Natural sunlight would be helpful.
