Hi @Sheetal22

Airbnb does not inspect your listing, so unless you have local rules that require an inspection, you can post!

Hi Sheetal,

Before listing your property on Airbnb, ensure it complies with local regulations regarding short-term rentals. Some areas may require permits or licenses, so it's important to research the specific laws in your location. Preparing your property is essential, including making it clean, safe, and guest-ready with basic amenities like soap and toilet paper.

Check your homeowner's or renter's insurance policy to confirm coverage for short-term rentals, as Airbnb’s Host Guarantee is not a replacement for personal insurance. If your property is governed by a homeowners' association (HOA) or a lease agreement, verify that short-term rentals are allowed. Understanding your tax obligations, including any local occupancy taxes, is equally critical—Airbnb may collect and remit certain taxes, but you should know what applies to you.

Safety measures are key, so ensure you have functional smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and other safety equipment. While Airbnb doesn’t require a formal inspection before listing, meeting these prerequisites ensures a better experience for both you and your guests.

I hope this helps.

All the best,
