Hello @Marie8425 👋

Really interesting update. How do you think a rise in US tourism will affect US hosts? It might be a fantastic opportunity to offer 'staycations'!

Hi @Rebecca

international tourism has fallen massively to the US not increased

this is due to uncertainty due to government policies around immigration and deportation and government no travel advisories to the US from a number of countries including the UK.

@Helen3 @Rebecca

It did mention international tourism down but was promoting that as giving the U.S. tourist less buyers competition.  Maybe a site in high demand by both now more favorable to a non international tourist.

International tourism to the US  is down a massive 15% so far and due to get to worse as the impact of the 'Trump Affect ' begins to bite .

this must be very worrying for hosts who rely on overseas visitors -  particularly from Canada, Europe, the Middle East and Far East.

flights to the US are also being cancelled by Airlines who can't fill seats .

I can see why it could be seen as good for domestic tourists but it would be great to hea from US hosts about how you think the massive fall on overseas visitors is likely to affect your STR business .

@Rebecca

Good thoughts.  Yesterday's news (news junkie haha), fears of flying and the Newark airport troubles are making road trip vacations the top.  Money concerns, doesn't mean vacations go away (lived economic trials in Hawaii ) buyers focus on what they are purchasing is much more conscious right now.
