Obtaining a Regional Identity Code in Italy for TaxPurposes

I have a rental property on Lake Como and I am trying to obtain a Regional Identity Code (CIR Code) in order to comply with the recent Italian Income Tax directives.  I have been told that I need to log in to this site to request the code:

It only seems possible to login if you are an Italian citizen or an EU citizen with a National Identity card.  As I am based in the UK I don't come under any of the categories that are listed.  I have tried to get some help from the Ministry of Tourism but to no avail.

I was wondering whether anyone else has come across this issue and found a solution?

Have you tried posting on your local host group or the Italian forum your more like to find someone who can help @Sue2615
