I am in South Africa, and I have been hosting for 2 years.
For the first time I made a lot of money through 2 new listings. Airbnb did not pay yet. The payment was apparently done on the 31st December, but it is not in my account. The bank told me it is not even pending. Worse I need to pay the owners of the other house. Now I look like a liar. I told them Airbnb pays within 48hours of checkin. Today it is the 7th day, still there is no money in my account. So frustrating...
I wrote to support and they said they will transfer to a relevant department, and immediately disappeared on me.
Anyone has been in a similar situation and how did you resolve, by when? I need to manage my client's expectations. For now I keep saying maybe tomorrow, I am also clueless.
