Do you prefer cleaners who
Bring their own supplies
Use host-provided supplies
I’ve seen both work depending on the property.
Hi @Sheily0 - just my two cents worth but in our case our cleaner decides this for herself, which I am all for. She has her own supplies (vacuum, buckets, floor mops) and cleaning products that she is comfortable using. We would happily supply but that is not how she wishes to work.
In some cases we have discussed how something is to be treated (we installed a honed granite for example), or neither of us like scents so neither her products or house products that we (host/owner) uses are scented (as much as possible we avoid, this isn't always possible though). Some supplies, like furniture leather polish is just a house supply that both of us can access.
Our supply closet also has our cleaning supplies, along with guest supplies that she needs to access for her turnovers, and she has ready access to anything that she may wish to use.
We provide all the cleaning supplies we want used. We have white granite counter tops we don’t want stained and other surfaces that need specific products. Here in Brazil the cleaners always work this way. Also, this allows us to control cleaning costs better. But I’m sure it’s dependent on location for most listings and what cleaning people are available.
