Good morning, I am wondering if anyone else has had their listing appealed by Airbnb? I live in Quebec Canada and have been a short term stay host for 6 years, I recently got my 2027 registration renewal and uploaded it to my listing. That's when they decided to stop my short term allowance. My current 2025/2026 was valid all year until I uploaded my new registration for 2026/2027. It's been a couple weeks now and I've been told a lot of different reasons such as the the CITQ the governing body that issues the registration number told them the number isn't valid anymore but then after I contacted the CITQ they said they will not talk to Airbnb. Keep in mind I paid for my renewal got the new documents and did everything according to the Airbnb rules for re registration, Airbnb support is yet to get back to me as to why exactly they are saying it's not valid. I have been on the phone and have emails from the CITQ stating my registration is valid until January 2027 but Airbnb keeps saying that CITQ is telling them the opposite.

It's been a little while since you posted and I wanted to say that I'm sorry that you're experiencing these issues. Speaking directly to Airbnb Support is the best way to get this resolved. Have you hear from the support team since you posted?

It has been an issue every single year. Tried my best to avoid it this year 😅 but I'm ready for it in 2026, I have signed up for every other platform so I don't rely on Airbnb anymore, plus every other platform seems a lot more accommodating. Thank you!
I’m literally going through this now. It’s been a nightmare. They keep rejecting it even though th e certificate is valid and no issues. They sent me on a wild goose chase to contact citq and municipality. Airbnb support has been so clueless and you can’t get the specialized team on the line. I’m so close to deleting my listing and going with vbro. How did you get it resolved in the end?
