What inspired you to become a host?

Thank You for tagging me, for SA i am not so sure but i am very much eager about beeing responsible host in Namibia and esspecially in Outjo the small Town where i am doing business, I became an host where i had started with the restaurant in the first place and most clients use to ask me about rooms why i don`t provide rooms too... You know everythimg starts with when you have funds availible for doing hey.. So as business was groing i decided to slowly adding few new things and as wellafter few years of trading in this tourism i notice that there are very important things to take care and to make notes where you are! I really am now almost 7 Years running and should say am very happy with what i am learling everyday as well expieriencing within the community alot . So it was worth beeing a host. Sure will love to check out the SA one too...

I'm in South Africa so I don't know much about registration with the NTB and in which cases it would be appropriate or compulsory (I assume you mean the Namibian Tourism Board?).

It would be best to make contact with other Airbnb hosts in Namibia. Airbnb has a resource to help you find your local host clubs (Local Host Clubs - Airbnb Community),

but unfortunately it doesn't seem to list any official host clubs in Namibia (although there certainly are quite a few Airbnb listings in your country). 

It may be best to search on social media or to directly approach some local Airbnb hosts, to find a place where you can connect with Airbnb hosts in your area. Another way to approach it would be to contact the Namibian Tourism Board to get their advice on how to approach Airbnb listings.

Thank you much and yes they the Namibia Tourism Board could assist with how to registered the Airbnb with them too. So great news for us Namibians with small businesses.. Thank You for your Tip.
