Request for Reimbursement

Request for Reimbursement

RE:  05/20/2026 AIRBNB * ** SAN FRANCISCO  CA           $728.75            ** AIRBNB

I authorized the above American Express AIRBNB charge for my son, Rodney Baker, to stay at a property located at ** (the host: Rana, Stevie, and visitor Dante) for a one month stay from May 22 – June 22. The day of his arrival, a person staying at this location stole Rodney’s backpack, clothes and laptop computer. Although the host stated she would try to contact the person staying at her property, the woman left and none of Rodney’s belongings were returned.

A number of conflicts, complaints and evolving deplorable living conditions existed, and on or about June 8, Rana advised Rodney to leave the property. He left.

This is a 1,989 square foot property as advertised with 10 beds and 3 bathrooms. Attached are photos of the “amenities” offered to guests. This property is not fit to be a host for AIRBNB.

I am requesting reimbursement for failure of AIRBNB to deliver safe, habitable accommodations.

This is the community, you need to contact Airbnb support for reimbursement.

There are procedures for it, as explained in this article:

If you have a problem or issue during your reservation:
https://www.airbnb.com/help/article/248

It is also not clear if the reservation was cancelled (or shortened) and by whom.

Thanks! I visited the help page.
