Rising price

Hi can anyone help me ? I just had to raised the price on the properties I managed due to the rising cost of utilities in my Country would guest understand or should I add that on the listing why the price increase?? 

Don't want to look like I make that decision on my own..

I doubt potential guests will know if you are raising your prices or not, so no explanation is needed.  Cost go up and there is much talk in the news about that happening all over.  What you charge is your business and if it becomes to expensive for you to market your listing, then you have to reconsider your business plan.  Good luck!

No one will know you raised your price unless they have previously stayed at your place or if they have been tracking your property waiting to book. So unlikely you will need to explain unless a past guest reaches out.

@Eurlanda0 To be clear, you can always change the listed price for open calendar dates at will; no need to explain the reasons.

 

But it's a different matter if you want to add fees to bookings that are already confirmed. This would require you to send a request directly to each guest asking for additional payment, which the guests would have the right to refuse. I doubt it would go over well. 

I know that one would not work with guests that already paid but I change it for future trips thaks
