I just got a phone call from the phone number I have saved in my phone as AirBnB Superhost Support. They insisted my account had been hacked and that I needed to set up a temporary payout method. I got burned in the spring from the 415 number that others reported. Has this scam been perfected to clone the support number?
In addition, earlier this month the minimum payout amount was changed by someone to $50k instead of $50. I manually changed it back because so many payouts were being held back.

Hi @Blake212
Scammers have become more sophisticated and can now spoof (clone) official-looking numbers.
Airbnb will never call you to ask for payout details, banking info, or to set up a “temporary payout method.” That’s a clear red flag.
Go to Airbnb directly do not click any links or respond to texts/calls.
Open the Airbnb app or website, log in securely, and go to:
→ Profile → Account → Login & Security → Devices and Recent Login Activity
Remove any devices or sessions you don’t recognize and report this directly to Airbnb.
Enable 2-step verification (2FA) if not already on.

This just happened to me this morning. They called from Airbnb's official number, and it showed "Airbnb Support" as the name. The person said the same thing; my account is comprised and my "host payouts" are currently on "Hold". I looked it up and that was correct. How did they know my payouts were on hold and the hold dates unless they were in the account? I hung up and called Airbnb myself and Airbnb said that I had changed the settings in my payout BA's over a month ago to a minimum of $50,000. I told them I never did that. Airbnb said they never did it, I asked Airbnb to please go into the logs to see who changed it and where the change came from. Airbnb said they couldn't do that. I also asked them to verify the phone call from their name and number earlier that morning and they also said there was no way to do that. With all the tech of a publicly traded company, I would think they do have that technology, but who am I to say? Anyway, the situation is still not resolved, and I have been charged over $300 in bank fees for insufficient funds because I did not notice the payouts weren't going through because it has been on autopilot with no issues.
Hi @Nicole4304
Secure your account right away
a. Change your Airbnb password
Use a strong, unique password you haven’t used anywhere else.
b. Enable 2-factor authentication (2FA)
Go to Account → Login & Security → Two-Step Authentication.
c. Log out all devices
Under Login & Security, select Log out of all devices to remove any attacker’s access.
Contact CS and also message via the Resolution Center for documentation and escalate the issue to Trust and Safety team to review security issues.
