STRA Registration

As a host in New South Wales, you need to register your listing to comply with local laws....

I'm Confused !!
Site says.. ......Host a ......................................., claim an exemption instead

This notice is on ABB website.

But Can't find any definition of reasons for exemption ?

What qualifies us to "claim an exemption instead" ???

We are "non hosted " according to the definition   ie not living onsite
and offering a freestanding house on a rural property in Bellingen

Hi @Alison-and-Roger0 yes you would be required to register as do we all. I found Short Term Rental Solutions and their resource centre https://www.shorttermrentalsolutions.com.au/resource-centre  to be quite useful to bring me up to speed. They also provided me with the emergency information book and pointed me in the right direction for the fire safety standards. Good luck

Hi @Anna10505,

I am looking for a template or example Emergency Information Guide/Sheet to provide to guests as part of the STRA requirements. Have you created one? Are you willing to share? I did look at the emergency book at the resource centre but I’m wondering if there is one in a format to present to guests.

thanks in advance!
