Tonight i have a guest book for tomorrow for 31 days.
He ask if he can come today.
I sent him the alteration request.
Suddenly the reservation is cancel by airbnb and the guest got refund.
Then show limited message delivery, meaning he guest account is suspend/deactivated.
Question 1. I have strict policy, why the guest get refund. I thought he can only get refund if he cancel 28 day before check in date.
Question 2. Why his account is suddenly suspend/deactive?
@Xiu30 He probably didn't get a refund. His credit card was probably invalid or found to be stolen.
@Xiu30 It is a risk when people book just before they want to arrive. In your case you got lucky as Airbnb seem to have noticed there was a problem and cancelled before the stay. If the credit card was stolen and Airbnb had only found out later then you would have had a guest stay and then not received any money.
In reality you have not lost out except in having your listing blocked for a day or so until the stay was cancelled.
But this guest profile was created 2015. Shouldnt long establish profile more trustworthy?
