ABB notified me that they will begin paying my STO tax as of March 15th 2025. Is due quarterly by December 20 , March 20, June 20 and Sept 20 for the prior 3 months. _ 20 days for you to process and send it in)
I printed my rentals from December 1 to Feb 28 to be submitted by March 1 & have to file this payment that was due by March 20th. ( I forgot but Im current otherwise)
How will I know they have paid my taxes to Suffolk Comptroller next quarter?

@Candysue0 I did not find information specific to Suffolk County NY. The information that I shared is relevant to probably all jurisdictions that AirBnB (and other OTAs) have agreements with. AirBnB collects the taxes from guests and purportedly sends that money to the various tax agencies. However, it is sent using AirBnB's tax number, NOT the tax IDs of the individual taxpayers. When AirBnB started collecting the taxes for my State, County and municipality, they DID NOT ASK FOR my tax ID numbers, nor did they provide me with any report that showed the taxes were paid to my tax account with those agencies.
On the advice of my accountant, I continue to file monthly, quarterly and annual tax reports with all of the agencies that tax my rental income. Unless I have a direct booking and collected guest taxes myself, I report the taxes owed for the reporting period as having been collected and paid by AirBnB.
@Candysue0 You will not know if AirBnB has paid the taxes. Nor will you receive a credit against your tax account from Suffolk County UNLESS you file as usual but claim zero tax due from you as AirBnB is now paying on your behalf.

@Lorna170 makes sense.. better to file and have ABB funds credited towards the NEXt quarter if and when they DO start remitting payment in Suffolk County LI NY.
Thanks for your help..
