Tax Information when you don't own the property and don't receive income for managing

Hi There,

I listed my aunt's property on my airbnb account, as I have an account and used to do the same for my parents so its easier for me to manage inquiries and bookings.  I don't receive income for managing the property and the funds received from airbnb will go into my aunts bank account.  Airbnb is asking me for my tax information to report to CRA but the income airbnb will be sending is not to my bank account.  I have asked them many times how to add my aunts tax information, but they insist that it needs to be my information, but I obviously don't want to add my tax information as I do not receive income.  There must be someway to add tax information for the owner only/owner of the bank account, as there must be other property managers out there.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Laura

The problem is you set up the listing in your name @Laura49 @so you are the only contact for tax purposes.

it would have been better if you help your aunt set up the listing and then added you as a cohost with zero fees.

I am not sure how you now resolve this.

@Laura49 the listing says no reviews. So you can still delete it and set it up correctly with your aunt as host and you as co-host?
