Tax and regulations for hosting in Kolkata India

Hi all,

I am thinking to become an airbnb host and wanted to know more about the rules and regulations around hosting in Kolkata India. Some questions I have are:

- do i need to separately register for using my apartment as an airbnb. Its already registered when i bought it as a new apartment.

- are there any other local rules to follow

- is there any tax implications or registration i have to do for rent my place as an airbnb

1. Check with the local government there - an increasing number of areas in India have STR restrictions 

2 you would need to check with the local government there 

3. check with an accountant with experience  of dual taxation UK/India you will need to pay tax here in the Uk obviously but likely would need to pay tax in India too
