Taxes and laws related to hosting

I haven’t started hosting an Air Bnb yet. I was just curious on if there are any laws or taxes on doing this? I want to do it in big bear but I’m not sure on where to start with all the laws and etc. can someone help me out with this?

you need to reach out to the county or city you are considering to find out what is allowed. It’s getting more difficult to do STR these days. If there are no restrictions, check out the saturation so you know the competition
