Transfer an email address to someone else

I have a company email address (xxxx@yyyy.com) associated with my account ABCD, but now when I want to quit the company, can I transfer this email address to another person in the company? Or do I need to delete this account and email address so someone else starts from scratch?

@Nandita15 It sounds like you are transferring the account which is not allowed. Its easy to transfer an email address as you just hand over the password but it will cause issues in future when/if you have to verify anything in the future
