Transient occupany tax in san diego county

I've recently discovered TOT, and that I've been suppose to collect it and send it in quarterly each year!! This seems insane!! Why wasn't this something the platform told me about!? How am I really expected to pull these numbers out of wherever it is they are!? Has anyone had to backpay this stuff? Do you know how far back I will have to attempt to find this info? This seems really messed up. Is there someone that can help with things like this?
