I am completely new to airbnb and still trying to get my head around this (and other) holiday booking sites. I am about to sign up with Travelnest - and they say they charge 20% of each booking. They put you on all the booking sites - so do they charge 20% if you get a booking through airbnb and airbnb charge their commission too - or do they charge if you book directly with them and if you get a booking through airbnb you only get charged by airbnb? Please help - I am confused!
I messaged them and they told me that Travelnest and Airbnb are already partner sites, meaning that if you are on Airbnb you are also automatically on Travelnest....however, this doesn't seem like it is the case when they have told you something different. I agree that greater exposure is definitely needed as there are so many companies out that doing the same thing. However, my advice would be to stick with Airbnb and when you feel more confident may be sign up elsewhere. There are quite a few things about using different domains that could make life a bit complicated .....This however, is just my opinion for what it is worth. Good luck and if you get the answer to your question please post it on here!!
You pay all fees to Travelnest, these are deducted from your payments. If you already have listings on with these sites direct you have to snooze your account and just make sure to block the calendar on Travelnest for already booked dates. Once you are getting your bookings through Travelnest they put your profile on all the other sites in the background and you just manage it through your Travelnest platform. For example on my bookings I get deducted 15% Chanel fee + 5% Travelnest fee + vat, that’s for my uk holiday cottage. I’m not sure what the fees are abroad. The platform is really good and I would recommend having the video call with an account manager person at Travelnest as they helped me a lot tweaking my property profile and answering all my questions. The support they offer is fab.
Hello @Creina1
I'm a little confused you say you use this company but have no listings attached to your profile .
It just shows you as being a guest.
