We are a host in the US and list a property in France. I have upload all business details and airbnb has not unblock my calendar. I have open about 10 cases and escalated to supervisor, but there is no resolution. I think there is a bug in their software. Have anyone run into this or know how to escalate further than their offshore call center?
Hi @Jared-Echols0 👋
It's been a little while since you posted and I wanted to say that I'm sorry that you're experiencing these issues. Speaking directly to Airbnb Support is the best way to get this resolved. Have you hear from the support team since you posted?
Looking forward to hearing an update from you,
Rebecca
Still no resolution. I kept calling, they kept opening the cases, and closed right after. At least they admitted that the issue is on the airbnb side, and told me to wait. I am wondering if this is happening to all new listings in Europe or just me.
Do they have any STR regulations in the part of France you want to operate in? If so you might need a licence nûmber for the listing to go live ? @Jared-Echols0
Hello @Jared-Echols0
@Helen3 is correct - we need an official registration number to operate in France but this is not the only requirement. I 'm a French host and there are many administrative duties that we have to complete to be able to rent our properties as an STR legally, namely:
Here's a link in French from the Avignon Town hall:

Where do you pay your taxes - US or France? Is there an agreement between the two countries in place to avoid a double taxation on the revenue generated?
Renting in France has become more and more controlled this year and this seems to be a common trend the world over. I think I saw that you had a co-host so hopefully they can help you setting up any parts that may be missing from your listing. This is a common cause for having a blocked calendar or if you haven't gone through the DAC7 control that is now in place.
Best of luck
Joëlle
Of course I did. I have SIRET, SIREN, VAT Tax, Registration number with the Mairie.
The challenge I have is airbnb doesn't seem to know what they require. They didn't even ask me for any proofs (documents). How long did it take you to go through your process?
OK @Jared-Echols0 that's great. It's just that not all hosts know what is needed and it's always difficult to know what has been completed from the little amount of information provided so I just tried to cover all the bases just in case.
You're right, we don't need to send Airbnb any proof - we just have to enter the details under Regimentation.
I'm set up as a company also and it took about 24 hours or even less to be verified. We needed to send to Airbnb the ID papers of the owner of the company in the same way we have to when we set ourselves up as a host.
Presumably this is declared as a secondary home?
Yes, it is a secondary home.
At least I finally got their acknowledgement in writing like this. I guess I have to wait.
