When do the New City of Winnipeg short term rules start ?

What checks are required under new rules ( criminal etc ) I’m commercial property and pay licensing fee already , now I also need a second license? What is there date for registration of license for short term rental. Any other information I need to know about the city changes and rules

Effective April 1, 2024:

You will need a City of Winnipeg business licence to provide short-term rentals for compensation. This applies to operators and platforms.

Application forms will be available January 2024.

Licences must be renewed annually. Operators require a separate licence for each individual short-term rental.
