Why am I being asked for taxpayer info when I don't even host?

I got an email asking for my taxpayer info for hosting but I've never hosted. I almost canceled my entire account thinking the host account was separate from my traveling account. There's a warning that if I do not submit this info my calendar will be blocked from future reservations. If this was meant just for hosting, this is one hell of a way to confuse people. Do I just ignore it?

@Daniel8433  Sounds like a tech glitch. You could contact Airbnb customer service to report the error.
