@Caroline2293 I pay $85.00 in Greenville, SC.
Your cleaner should give you 30-60 days notice before the increase becomes effective.
When my cleaner raised her rates, she gave me the effective date, and I told her I had 13 bookings that were booked at the previous rate, and asked to keep the old rate for 13 cleans after the effective date, and that I’d be happy to pay her new rate for any new bookings. She’s been my cleaner for a long time and we have a good relationship, so she agreed to this.
You might likewise try to negotiate with your cleaner to at least partially offset significant increases in the rate. Of course, all of this depends on your relationship with your cleaner, and how much she values cleaning your property.
