delay in payout with no feedback from Airbnb

Dear colleagues, I am a host from Ukraine and work with Airbnb for 8 years, never had any serious problems. However, they have recently stopped transferring payouts to me, one of them being due for 10 days now. Nothing has changed in my layout and I know that some other Ukrainian hosts are getting paid. I have written to the customer service several times, but they ignore the request, saying that I have already applied regarding this issue. I call them daily, but all they say is that my issue "is being studied". I have quite a number of upcoming reservations and I really cannot afford working for free now. I hate to bother the guests, of course, as they have paid their money and should receive services. Did you have such a problem and what would you recommend to do? Thank you very much in advance for your support!

Thank you!

@Emilie perhaps you could tell us what the team you keep talking to actually say?  Do the acknowledge the problem? Do they provide any feedback? Do they think it would be a good idea to provide some (any) information to the hosts that they stop paying? Has this issue been raised with AirBnB's management? Do they care? Is anything being done to stop this?

Like everyone else at AirBnB , you promised an update 'if' you hear anything, and then nothing happens.

Is there actually *any* way for hosts to escalate this or get a response from the company if we get a wall of silence from absolutely every level of 'support'?

I've now talked to about 20 people, called dozens of times, sent endless emails and received absolutely zero meaningful information.

@Ian35187 The team has only confirmed to me they are working on it for you, however I do not have any more detailed update I could share with you. I have let them know you are still waiting for further help, they will follow-up directly with you as soon as possible.

Thanks,

Emilie

I’ve faced the same problem. I’m communicating with Airbnb already for 2 weeks while waiting for the payment already for 2 months. From the begging administration was wondering why I didn’t get the payment until now and now they started to say- it’s because of the sanctions. But which sanctions Ukrainians deserve now? I’ve been honest partner for 2 or 3 years already and now can’t get even what I really earned.

For last three month refugees form the occupied areas of Ukraine have been leaving in 4 apartments in my account . They used vauchers from Airbnb . Unfortunately I haven’t got any payment for their stay. I also can’t get some of previous payments . Last western union I got on the 2nd of June ,two months ago. I wrote and call to the Airbnb help three times a week . Unfortunately they don’t solve my problem . I don’t know what to do . I can’t ask guests to leave the apartments. Because they really have no where to go . It’s not human ! I also need that money to pay electricity, whater, gas which my guests use. I’m Ukrainian ! And I think Airbnb service have to help us ,Ukrainians, the first immediately at so difficult time for us!

With hope for help ,

with tears in my eyes now,

Oksana

@Catherine-Powell The Ukrainian situation with Airbnb is just getting worse. Perhaps you or @Quincy or @Jenny or @Emilie could actually try to fix this once and for all?

@Оксана58 If this isn't sorted by next week I am happy to email the editor of the Daily Mail again to try and see if she will help. Just let me know next week.

Hi, we are also from Ukraine and wait payments 2 month. Please let us know how we can join your complaint?

Thank you

Hello Everybody.   Me and many other Ukranians  faced the same problem!!!

It seems many Airbnb hosts in Ukraine have had their accounts frozen
due to concerns that there may have been inappropriate accounts and/or
apartment units registered in order to receive additional financial
gain due to the war. These cases are unfortunate, but it is entirely
inappropriate to hold us hostage.

A simple, speedy review of my record would clearly indicate that I
have been working with Airbnb since 2013 and have only ever had 2
apartments  registered with Airbnb since the
very beginning of my collaboration with your team. I donated to humanitarian purposes here in Ukraine. Therefore,  I kindly request  review of my circumstances
and release of my funds. It's simply unacceptable that I and many other ukranians are deprived of the ability to earn a living in a time of war while Airbnb makes
money on my apartments.

@Mykola10 hopefully @Emilie will ask Airbnb to look at your case urgently.

@Catherine-Powell I wonder if you would like to give an official Airbnb position on why it is treating Airbnb hosts in Ukraine so badly?
