Is anyone affected by the new policy regarding facial detectors in the apartment units that we manage?

What new policy are you referring to and what are face detectors @Zoma6

Only people who have registered their faces can gain access to the unit/apartment.

So, if your guest only stays for 1 night, it will be very difficult.

Oh so this isn't Airbnb related policy -  but down to the apartment block that your STR business is in @Zoma6

in which case you will need to speak to the apartment management company - as long as you are allowed to do STR at the property I am sure they will be open to discussing it.

sounds like you need to add in an extra step with guests to register

Hi helen, yes sure, this isn't Airbnb policy, but property managemen's.

I just wanted to know if maybe one of you has ever had the same problem as I am facing right now.

btw, tqvm helen..

Well...this is the first I have heard of this?

Did the management of the Building start using this requirement as a result of negative incidents with tenants and guests?

Yes, they just started using facial detectors, to prevent us from renting out units

@Zoma6

So...that means you can't list on Airbnb or any OTA platform?

I can, but I need to work with the receptionist to access the elevator for my guests 😀
