How come when I ask Airbnb to provide of breakdown of what taxes are they are unable to provide me that information. That information should be detailed out in the receipt as you would get at a hotel. As a host and a renter this is unacceptable. I know for a fact they have charge my guest the wrong amount.
Hi @Wendy1183,
Taxes charged vary based on where you are. I see you have multiple listings, could you let us know which one it is you are having some difficulties with please?
With a little bit more context about the issue you're facing, I'm sure other hosts will be able to advise you further 🙂
Thanks,
Emilie

Airbnb should be able to provide me the detail of the taxes they are collecting on each renter. That was not provided. How is that an acceptable business practice.
This is in reference to my GA townhome rentals.
In GA the hotel motel fee should NOT be charged to extended stay rentals. The definition of an extended stay rental is greater than 30 days. My rental is 31 days and the renter must be charged this because there is not other reason the taxes on the rental would be 25%.

No one from Airbnb has responded even after sending them the definition straight from the Georgia Rules about the hotel fee. A guest with a 31 day stay should NOT be charged this fee.
