job offer scam on WhatsApp

Hi all,

I hope you're well. I want to bring to your attention about a potentially dangerous job scam.

Someone messaged me on WhatsApp pretending to be from Airbnb recruitment offering a job with the following text:
Hello, my name is Claire and I am a recruiter at Airbnb. We are looking for part-time online staff in the UK. Please allow me to send you a brief job description.

I`ve asked And who is Saliu Barry? Why are you introducing with a different name? Who is Sofia? I am going to report this to Airbnb.

Number was from Angola, but they pretended to be someone else. but saw different names.

I`d attach screenshots, but no option available.

Hi @Dariela2  yes if you want to apply for work through airbnb you would apply on the jobs section on their website. Obviously Airbnb would never contact you via What's App.
