tax

Hi I have been contacted by Ulster Dept of Finance to give records or the taxes that airbnb have charged for occupancy tax. They say that airbnb cannot produce that information.

I did give them records earlier this year but they keep asking me sending seemingly threatening emails saying 'payment due' 'seriously in arrears' etc.

I dont think it is my job to provide them details of the taxes they impose on me through airbnb. It is as if they are asking me to audit airbnb and I do not feel comfortable doing that.

I have told the dept of finance that and they have threatened me with legal action or 'to take it further'

anyone have any suggestions?

@Joshua23 It appears that Airbnb's agreements with many jurisdictions allows it to provide a lump sum tax payment. It is often the responsibility of the host to then fill to a return with the amount of tax paid via Airbnb which you should be able to find in your transaction history.
