A guest lied on her reservation

I had a woman rent my apartment by making it appear that she would be traveling there for work intermitently and her son would be going to grad school and staying there too. Turns out the woman never stepped foot in the apartment and he trashed the place. I have $5,000 worth of damage and must get new carpet, new counertops and new furniture. The police were called twice and I nearly got fined for noise complaints. Isn't that illegal or against Airbnb rules? She misrepresented herself and rented it to a complete lunatic. I never would have rented to this guy, judging by his reputation.

Third part bookins are against the terms of the AirBnB site, you can cancel the booking but that hardly helps you in your current situation.
