Hi,
I'm currently staying in my Airbnb in Lucca, Italy. When I was searching for places I had a certain list of amenities in mind including wifi and air conditioning. These two things were listed as included in the property description. Once I had paid in full, the host messaged me and told me he charges 10 euros a day for air conditioning so he wants me to give him 140 euros in cash when I check out. This surely cannot be allowed right?
Cheers

@Nicholas360 it is not allowed and he can get de-listed. Weren't those extra charges mentioned somewhere in the listing?

@Ana1136 no, it wasn't listed anywhere that he would charge for this on-top. It's certainly an unethical thing to do (asking for extra cash for this) but I just wanted to make sure that if I refused to pay it I wouldn't get in trouble with Airbnb.
@Nicholas360 if it isn't mentioned he can't ask for extra money, make sure your messages with him are on the Airbnb platform so that you have evidence of everything.
