Aggressive client

Hello

Problems with guests

I gone to open the door to guests 3 pm as I have in the ad that check-in is 3 pm. the guest sent me several time questions that if they can come earlier, but it is was not possible because of cleaning and my schedule, I told it many times. He started to shout to me inside the apartment that he will make very bad review and he did not want to fill check-in form even I shown the legal reasons made by police to tourist apartments. He keep shouting and said I should go out and he will do it later. I said it is not possible, we have to do it before I go. He said he recorded out conversation. I said they can go if they want because situation started to be very bad. I did everything like always and I followed rules. I was polite. He was just angry because I did not come earlier. They gone angry. I think they should pay for staying, do they?

Hi @Minnamaija0,

I think they should pay for the days they decided to stay in your apartment. The rest is up to you.

BTW. This is the Spanish page of the community forum. If you want everybody to understand your post it would be better to publish it in the English page.

Un saludo

Thank you Ramon from support. The decision of Airbnb was to pay only first night to the owner. I work with both languages because client speaks English it was easier to describe what happened in English.

@Minnamaija0 You did the right thing by refusing to allow this aggressive and threatening guest to stay. It sounds like Airbnb did a back-end cancellation for you, which should open your calendar for a replacement booking. Receiving only the first night's payout feels less than ideal, but it's a compromise that gets you out of a bad situation.

If the reservation is fully off the books now, you need not have any further contact with the guest and can block any further messages.
