I had guests who violoated my house rules of no parties, no smoking and no more than 8 guests. This is posting on my listing and in my manual at my home which I leave a written note for my guests telling them to read it and reminding them of this policy.
With my recent guest, my neighbors contacted me throughout the night (2:00 am, 3:45 am, 5:0 am) about loud noise (people partying in the hot tub, drinking, etc) and people ringing their door bell to find the "party." I contacted AirBnb for support and was told someone would contact me. They never did. I returned from my vacation a day early, saw that my guest had a bachelorette party with people coming and going, and told the guests to leave one day early. They had damaged my home and violated AirBnB standards (which AirBnB asked me to review!).
My guestes complained to AirBnB that I asked them to leave early, and as a result, AirBnB did not pay me for the day they did not stay (which might be okay). But, AirBnB threaten to kick me out of the AirBnB community and locked my account. Someone from AirBnB called me, I told my story and then they took my money. I asked verbally and via email to speak to a manager and was told there is no one to speak to . I am still locked out of my account. I cannot leave a review for this disrespectful guest. I want to claim the deposit to cover my damages but don't have access to that functionality on my account. I am furious and warn all of you that AirBnB is not accessible to support you as a host.
At the end of the day, we have decided out of respect for our neighbors that we will no longer rent our home out as a vacation rental. It was not something we did alot but rather something we did to enable us to travel. But our neighbors are too important to us and we cannot expose them to disrepectful people. This guest is Nilly from San Diego. Do not rent to her. Her reviews say she is quiet and a nice guest. She is not.
Do you have any advice?
