Airbnb not supporting the homeowners

Last year, AirBNB's hallmark was excellent support. One-call resolution, agents who were intelligent and empowered to help, people actually cared if you had a problem. This year, it's completely the opposite. The agents are dumb and have no more ability than I do via the app. It takes forever to get one on the phone, at which point they're going to treat you with a mixture of indifference and incompetence.

I've had several interactions with them this year, all of them extremely frustrating. I don't think I can go on using this app is they can't provide adequate support to hosts.

Anyone else having similar experiences?

@Brian283  Fortunately my experiences are positive but there many, many discussion that attest to similar experiences as yours.  A couple of tricks I use are:  Twitter if it is a technical issue and not a pressing one.  Call very early in the morning (I'm an early riser) when the call volume is lower.  Always treat the rep as if they are your BFF and engage them in finding the solution.  The last point is one I use with a variety of call centers and sometimes it works and sometimes it does not.  In this online age, and I am a late comer to it, I am excited that I can even speak with a human!! 😄

Oct 2, 2017.   I had a situation that required contacting the resolution center, and had read in the community center that it often took 2 weeks to get a call back.  I have to report that, not only did someone answer the phone , but my problem was sincerely considered and ultimately resolved much better than I could have expected.  A pleasant experience all around.      Bette
