We are considering a request for a month’s booking. How is Airbnb’s service fee calculated? We are willing to offer a discounted price.

@Julie4107 Guest service fees are anywhere from about 14.5-20%.
If a guest started out asking you for a discount, that is a big red flag. You should not agree to guests' requests for discounts. Discount seekers almost always turn out to be problematic in other ways.
And be careful with month long bookings. I don't know the landlord/tenant laws where you live, but in most jurisdictions a gueest who stays 30 days or more becomes a tenant under the eyes of the law and if they turn out to be objectionable, you could have a hard time getting them out.
This is not a red flag for me, and neither is staying for a month. People come for long visits to family where they want their own space or for work or a class or program or even working remotely in a new city. We love people who stay for a month or more! A to asking for a discount, you can take their situation into account or else just say no. For instance, I occasionally rent to people coming to town for a program and they can't afford the full price. It's always worth asking. I'm giving a discount to someone coming to a colleague's summer program for 2.5 weeks. I trust her to be a good tenant due to the connections, so a small discount seems quite reasonable. It just takes time to build trust and connections, and if you don't have the time to do that, say no.
