Airbnb translation, does not update anymore since 1 year, for all languages.

Recently I get a lot of booking requests and when I sent them a reminder of the important parts of the house rules before accepting there reservation.

The clients cancel because they sey the text is not written or they do not see it.

by luck I went to check the property page (of any property I manage) in airbnb.it or airbnb.de or airbnb.es etc.

Once you click on "translate by Google" (most people have it probalby from the beginning set to translate) it shows the text I had 1 year ago!!!

Can you imagine that.

Automatic translation of the past that I have nowhere written anymore on my dashboard.

I have checked it and I had that description 1 year ago. So the automatic translation does not update anymore.

Imagine geting a booking and after the clients make a complain because in the description in their language was written totally different things.

(not just a small translation error, no a total old text is shown and that in ALL the languages I have NOT filled in my own translation.)

How can it be our responsability, Airbnb works in more then 25 languages, we can not translate and check them all every time to see if it is correct.

i wonder who will take the responsability if a booked client of an other language as English will complain that the description and rules are different.

@Wim6

In addition a noticed when updating my houserules (default in english) on my local Airbnb website (.nl), these updates were not mentioned on airbnb.com. Very disturbing.

Regarding translation: I was under the impression the "translate" button allways translates the actual text in real time, but now i see it takes some snapshot and never updates again ? Which makes it useless.

Recently somebody on the Dutch community had complaining guests stating they did not read about paying 'tourist tax" in the listing. It was clearly mentioned on the Dutch listing, but not on the translated version. Now i know how this could happen: it's not translated in real time.

yes,  these days guests need to have ALL UPFRONT MENTIONED in the listing.

Even the by law tourist tax they have to pay also in the hotels.

Everything these days is enough to ask a refund if all is not upfront written. But how are we going to do that over +25 languages?

We do our best to be as transparent as possible.

But it is impossible to translate or even work in more them 25 languages.

You know the amount of text fields Airbnb has,  imagine you want to change a small part. they you need to update it over the +25 languages.

When you then manage multiple properties, after updated 5, you forgot already what languages you just did.

in short , it is just impossible to do.

Airbnb should provide us the real time translation by Google, or at least within 24hours, but not with a year delay.

Or Airbnb should provide us a button we want to show all details in English and that is it.

Do you know how to cancel automatic translation?
