Asking renters not to use all the beds?

I have a 4 bedroom plus loft, and I'd like to know if there is a polite way to ask renters not to use all the beds in the loft when they don't need to. But it is designed for kids, and how do you stop kids from jumping on all the beds, ripping the covers off, etc. I have a lot of upcoming rentals for 2-6 guests when my house sleeps 15. There are only 2 queens I can lock up. The loft has 5 beds that sleep 7-8. Or should I just not care. Just seems like a lot to keep asking my cleaner to do when it's not a necessity based on the occupancy. Should I have my cleaner leave extra beds unmaid or is that tacky?

@Jennifer356  I leave my extra beds unmade, with a neat bedspread on them (with the  mattress protector underneath).  I thought this made it easier for the guest to spread his stuff on the spare bed.  And one less bed for me to remake.  Didn't know it might be tacky!!  But have to say that when I have been an Airbnb guest, the extra beds are made up.

we do the same as @Julia66

Hi @Jennifer356 We do the same as @Julia66 - make up only the number of beds required (we always ask about sleeping arrangements ahead of time in case some couples don't sleep together. etc.) The unmade beds have a mattress protector and a quilt covering them, and the bedroom doors are closed. Great question!

I've had a couple use all five beds in the house...really use them....when one bed would have been sufficient. It doesn't happen a lot. Kids are always more work. I usually like to make up all of the beds, but when it gets busy in the summer I only make up the beds that are going to be used and this solves the problem of kids jumping on the made up beds that are not being used. It still happens, on my weekend bookings during the off season, but it isn't something that happens often enough to stress me out.
