Attracting more visitors to an area

Hi 

How does one get the village or town that one lives in  on the map of Airbnb to travellers as a destination of choice? 

We have a number of Airbnb units in our area, but not a lot of bookings.

We are a remote rural seaside holiday village Kei Mouth on the Wild Coast of South Africa

I would suggest you speak to your local tourist board about opportunities to promote your Airbnb listing through them and about how they are promoting your area.

Airbnb does not promote destinations (unless large tourist destinations).

Make sure you have lots of photos of attractions in your area in your listing and you talk about them in your copy. Also mention your nearest train/airport and how guests will reach from nearby popular destinations.

And don't just rely on Airbnb - use other listing and holiday companies that operate in your area.
