Is there anyone out there who might be interested in offering free accommodation to those who have lost their homes in the recent bushfires?
i am thinking that you may have a week or so that is not yet booked as I do.
However I’m not sure how you would find these people,
Many ideas ?

This is so important people jump on board to help.
We have had the effects of the smoke haze here in New Zealand from Australian bushfires.
I recall stories as a child from neighbour's who had family working in Australia, mainly shearing sheep work, and how when the fires occurred the haze used to be seen in New Zealand.
Until today I'd never ever seen a smoke haze from Australian Forest. bushfires like we have had in Auckland - it's most unusual to have to have a light on inside in the middle of the day to ensure light.
One can only imagine the orangey yellow haze across the skies & light was like how those before us lived with lack of electrical lighting in days before us.
With so much now been instantly available with the internet and mobile phones we see more readily just how much of an effect these events have on peoples' lives.
Very sadly some of these places have had serious fires in the past.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to all in the wider community who have suffered loss and who are working at the coalface to help prevent the spread of these fires - firefighters and those living and fleeing to safety who are impacted need rest to or face exhaustion and health issues.
It would be great if Airbnb actually had available a program that extended to other countries so people could offer accommodation away from the homeland of those impacted by such disaster.
Sometimes people need a complete break away from the distress of such disasters, not only in the short term.
