Authorized payment ?? Accomodation fees ??

Authorized payment ?? Accomodation fees ??

Hello,

I received an e-mail from Paypal saying :  "You authorized a payment of 28,00€ to Airbnb".

I authorized no payment to Airbnb recently as far as I know.

It's for "Accomodations on Airbnb" ; yet my last booking on the website was 2 months ago. So what is this payment about ?

Thanks for your answers.

@Marco397 You will need to call Airbnb and ask them. This is a forum for hosts so I'm afraid we can't help with this.

Hello,

I saw the concerned fees, 28€, concerns bed sheets I unwilingly damaged in December and that I refunded as soon as it was asked in January. It is indicated in the "Resolutions" page : "You sent ___ 28€ - 2 months ago."

If it was sent 2 months ago, why Airbnb took 28€ more on my Paypal balance just yesterday ?

The 28€ are not indicated on my Paypal account in January ; but why is it indicated that I sent them 2 months ago ?

There is no way to contact someone from Airbnb on the Help or Contact Us page ; only the hosts I met. No e-mail and no phone number. How convenient.

@Marco397 so your account was charged twice for the same thing ? Or not?

You can contact ABB through twitter (airbnb help) https://twitter.com/AirbnbHelp
or facebook, they will answer in few hours.

or

on https://www.airbnb.com/help/contact_us   ...scroll on bottom and clik on "my question is about something else"/ resolve an issue / (chose from the list).... / I still need help - there you can describe what happend

You make it sound like you were charged once?

David

I think I've been charged once, but in that case why was it done yesterday for an issue that happened 2 months ago ? And why is it written "You sent ___ 28€ - 2 months ago" on the resolution page ? It's not so clear and I don't like it. I find it strange that it happens right when I got money on my Paypal balance also.

Not sure what the issue is as long as you have only paid once, if it is only now that there is money to pay that makes sense.
