Hi, i was contacted today regarding a booking for today and until friday. When i wrote her she wanted to do it without airbnb. So without making a reservation through you but wanted to pay extra. I am gonna decline it but I would rather not make the days get blocked. How do I do that?

If you decline, the dates are not blocked, only when you give as reason: "dates are not available"

(But then you can make them available again).

If it was an Inquiry, just answer and do nothing more..

If it was an booking request, you must decline.

@Sara1591  While what Emiel has said is all correct, declines on requests (not inquiries, just answer those without declining) do count against you. So in this case, I'd contact Airbnb and ask them to look at the message stream with this guest that she was trying to book outside the system. Then let them deal with it, rather than you having to have a decline on your record. No way I'd take a hit on Acceptance rate just because a guest was trying to play outside the system.

In addition, if it is possible, you could tell to your guest that she/he needs to pay during the system.
