Breakfast provided

Breakfast provided

Hello,

The host I have right now is an hotel, the listing and reservation says that "breakfast is provided", but the hotel is saying it is not included with my reservation, and that the hotel offers it for a price. Basically they are saying that "breakfast provided" means that it is part of the amenities like the pool, and if I want it I  have to pay it.

What should I do?

If breakfast is part of the amenities and listing does not mention it has to be payed for (and also how much), then the listing is misleading and can be reported to Airbnb (see "flag" link on the listing).

Best regards,

Emiel

@Gustavo-and-Leonora0  Go to the listing and under "amenities" click on "See all XX# of amenities". If they may charge for it, it should say " Free or for a fee" next to Breakfast. If there's no mention of there perhaps being a fee, then the listing is inaccurate, and you can report it, as Emiel advised.

It just say "breakfast is provided" .

@Gustavo-and-Leonora0  Then you are quite correct- the host must provide this free of charge unless he mentioned somewhere else in the listing description that they charge for breakfast.

Thank you. I hope the hotel follows the rule.

@Gustavo-and-Leonora0  Have you contacted Airbnb about this? First, I think you should point out to the host that his listing states that breakfast is provided, and doesn't mention a charge for this, therefore it is assumed that there is no separate charge. If he still insists that you have to pay for it, contact Airbnb and let them know and they will probably contact the host and read him the riot act.

Or you could just stock up on some breakfast food and not hassle about it right now and enjoy your holiday with no negative energy, then make sure to mention this when you write the review and let Airbnb know when you get home that the listing isn't accurate on this.

Yesterday I tried to talk to them and they told me the breakfast provided means that the hotel has it , they offer it and that you have to pay it.

I sent a message to airbnb, but still no answer. My partner tried to called them, but they didn't answer. I'm just waiting to see what happens.
