The room I Airbnb is a small one person room, with a private bath, but it's across the hall. My room is down the hall.
I rented to a young man who asked if he could bring his gf, explaining that thay would be out most of the time and rarely home... sigh. I should have suspected something when they showed up with 12 bags of groceries for a 6 night stay, promptly whipped up a meal, ate, cleaned up and then napped all afternoon... yeah... rarely home?
Sure. leaving at 10 pm coming in at 4am - then cooking, waking the house with laughter and showering together... top it off with cracking the boxspring on my new mattress set...
Question: WHO does that? Seriously?
He admitted it and suggested I get a simple piece of wood to fix it..lol. For a $700 mattress set?
It was only 3 months old, I found where I bought it, he offered to replace it, paypal - ed me the exact amount - it was on sale and I ordered it... THEN the girlfriend called me into the room where they had put the mattress on the floor and stood on it bouncing and saying it was fine, and we only needed to replace the boxspring.
Really?
I already ordered a new set - and I told her that if they wanted to try to sell the mattress or boxspring they could... but the springs were poking up!! lol...
I just shook my head and told them they have one more night, I'm sorry that this was a bad experience of all of us, but it is what it is. BUT they broke this new bed.
I wish though I could have videoed the "fake" reinactment of how it happened...
This is my first crazy. Oh, Happy New Year everyone... anyone else have someone destroy a bed - oh, I should say that this couple are tiny - at most 140 pound each!
Seriously, who's writing the sitcom?
