Canceled by admin

I got an enquiry from a guest, before I was able to respond, it was labeled "cancelled by admin". What does this mean?

I just that now and I do not know what it means either.  I've tried "Googling" the answer and I noticed no one has responded here.  I think it must be a system error right now.
