Hi there, I cancelled a reservation and the guest got the mony fully paid back. But the days are still blocked in the calendar. And it shows Earnings 0. Anyone knows how to unblock these dates? Thank you! Gian

If you cancelled a reservation, the dates will remain blocked. There will also be an automated review saying the host cancelled so and so many days before arrival which is a warning sign for potential future guests. One does not want to book with hosts that cancel the reservations. It will also affect your possibility to become a superhost.
If this was a mutual agreement, it would have been better for you if the guest had cancelled.
Can you tell us why you cancelled the reservation? Airbnb does have a list of extenuating circumstances that would waive the cancelation penalties.
The reservation request expired . I thought I had confirmed it. Now the guest wants to re-book but the calendar is still blocked. Can this be resolved or is it a punishement from Airbnb for getting it wrong. Genuine mistake. I replied to the e-mail instead of hitting the confirm button !!!

Hi @Lorraine29 I wish Airbnb didn't have this policy...so much aggravation for hosts and guests! Contact Airbnb (see the link below to see all the ways) and have Airbnb unblock the dates for you.
I have three weekends blocked because I did not respond to an inquirey correctly, all in the first week I listed.
By the time I figured out what was going on,I had a couple of prime weekends blocked and it appears there is no appealing these.
One girl asked "How far to a park" , I responed 5.1 miles and waited...Oops Never mind I just got blocked!
Another inquired about a weekend and I asked him about the others in the group. While I was waiting for his response the weekend was blocked.
Air BnB could handle this much better!

I would also advise you to contact Airbnb, explain the situation, and ask for them to unblock your dates. It doesn't help you or Airbnb for them to be blocked. Click on the link below to see the ways you can contact Airbnb:
Hello, as a host completely new to AirBNB I have had accidantely set-up the feature about accepting the booking without reviewing. A couple booke dmy apartment for a New Year (half a year in advance) and I was all confused as I had not have pricing set-up, did not understand how that all happend, who accepted them and so on. So I cancelled this within minutes but days are now blocked. There is an evidence and proof that this was all a misunderstanding and me being completely new on the system. Please - please can you unblock a New Year Eve dates for me please? I am losing a business for no reason here... which is very unfair, considering this booking was cancelled within a minutes and many months prior to occuring. I am very upset about all this which was also evident from all the correspondence surrounding this unfortunate incident.
