My complex in Cape Town South Africa of 16 units used to have 4 as AirBnB and recenctly the Trustees tried to introduce new rules (illegally) liminting short term let to a minimum period of 6 months whereas legally per our conduct rules it is 1 month. I operate on the basis of lets for a month and longer.
I have heard that this has been challenged in court already and that my constitutional rights allow me to let for any period I choose? Anyone have any knowledge on this?
In addition, there is a notice displayed on the premises where they are using the AirBnB logo wihout permission and highlighting AirBnB as the probelm, and there are many others like Booking.com being used as well.
