Changing a booking date after the fact.

We have a guest staying with us from Vietnam, who speak little English. We have a check-in time of 3pm and check out of 11am. Our guest booked from Jan 5-8 and then said that they their plane lands at 11:30pm on Jan 4. I explained that we would need to change the check-in date to Jan 4, they said they were ok with this. So I went into the app and changed the date. But then the guest said that they cannot find where to approve it. Yesterday, we tried to cancel and resend the date change, but after canceling the change the app will not allow us to add Jan 4 since that date has already passed. Any advice?

Change the price accordingly, so it reflects an extra night stay.

Or charge 1 night via resolution centre.
