The guest booked and paid for 20 nights but left after 6th nights (because of personal reasons at his home). He asked me to refund the money for 14 nights. What should I do? Oh...one more thing... He made a request for a refund four days after checking out but he requests a refund for all 14 days after departure.
Tell your guest Airbnb handles cancellations and he needs to cancel with them and his cancellation will be processed under the cancellation policy he booked under. @Darko39
Do not offer to backdate and refund, it is his responsibility to cancel as quickly as possible to maximise any refund due.
Airbnb will contact you and try and persuade you to give the guest back more than he is entitled to.
Yes as @Helen3 mentioned, tell guest they need to call customer service with Airbnb & they will deal with refunding your guest based on your cancellation policy. Don't let Airbnb or the guest try to get more money back other than what they agreed to when booking with you 🙂
